ActiveX: ActiveX is needed to run dual-pane display when transferring files. If ActiveX is disabled by default and you click on Transferring Files in
LLE5.LL2go.com, your browser will pop a message up saying the needs to run ActiveX. Click 'Allow' to start the dual-pane file transfer feature.

Download: Downloading files means copying files from the remote computer to the local computer. Conversely, uploading files means copying files from the local computer to the remote computer.
Dual-Pane Display: Dual-pane display shows folders and
files on both your remote computer and local computer. You can use this display to drag and drop
files from one computer to another to copy them. You can also use the Dual-Pane Display to
synchronize folders between your remote and host PC.

Laplink Everywhere Host (Host): The Laplink Everywhere Host
is an application that must be installed on the computer you wish to access remotely. It acts as a
host, allowing you to connect to the computer remotely through Laplink Toolbar, your Smartphone, or
from any browser (via
LLE5.LL2go.com).
Laplink Toolbar: Laplink Toolbar is currently an exclusive
Internet Explorer toolbar that can be installed on any computer for one-click access to your remote
computer. You can connect to your computer directly from the toolbar without having to navigate to
LLE5.LL2go.com. Simply sign in to your account and choose the
computer you wish to access to connect to it and one-click you can access your PC or launch a
remote control session.
Logs: Logs record all activity related to your account.

Microsoft Outlook: Use Microsoft Outlook to access your
email, contacts, calendar, notes and tasks. When setting up your host computer, you will be asked
to choose between using Microsoft Outlook or Windows Mail. Laplink Everywhere provides you with
complete remote access to these clients using the Laplink Toolbar or LLE5.LL2go.com without having
to launch a remote control session.

Remote Control: Remote Control lets you view and use your
remote PC as if you were sitting in front of it. Remote control is ideal when you need to use any
applications installed on your PC.
Remote Desktop Protocol: Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a
protocol Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a protocol designed for secure communications in networks
using Microsoft Terminal Services. Laplink Everywhere uses RDP for secure Remote Control when
accessing remote PCs that use the Windows 2000, XP and Vista operating system with terminal
services enabled.
Remote Search: Remote search is offered to help you locate
files easily using keywords instead of trying to remember the location of the file your remote PC.
Working with Google Desktop Search (if installed on remote computer) or Windows Vista Search (if
using Windows Vista/XP on remote computer), you can just search for the file you are looking for
without browsing the directory. From the search results, you can either forward a result (file or
email) through your remote Outlook client or view the result.

Screen Sharing: Screen sharing is generally is the ability
to transmit the contents of your computer screen to one or more remotely connected Internet users.
Secure Download Links: Laplink Everywhere lets you send
files to others via email, either as attachments or secure download links. Secure download links
are links that the email recipient can click on to download the file you want to send directly from
your remote computer, thus eliminating your file size limitation concerns.
Smartphone: Laplink Everywhere lets you connect to
your remote computer using any web enabled Smartphone. Using the web browser on your mobile phone
go to LLE5.LL2go.com to sign in to your Laplink Everywhere account. A mobile-optimized version of
the site will automatically be displayed.
Synchronize: Synchronizing folders means copying the
contents of a remote folder to a local host folder.

Windows Search (formerly known as Windows Desktop Search):
Windows Search is an indexed desktop search platform released by Microsoft for the Windows
operating system. Windows Search uses a different architecture and a new indexer compared to
Indexing Service. For Windows XP, Windows Search is available as an add-on application.With Windows
Search you can search for files on your computer with a file name, a property, or text contained
within a file. Searching will help you locate the files or email you need without having to browse
your PC at all.
