LapLink Inc. the recognized world leader in file transfer and synchronization, announced today the release of Remote Network Accelerator (RNA). This product improves network connection performance by speeding remote file access up to 400% over wireless, dial-up, ISDN and broadband.

"This product will not only be exciting news to IT professionals and network administrators, but it will equally impress those that administer the budget. There is nothing more efficient or cost-effective out there today," said Mark Eppley CEO of LapLink.

RNA utilizes patented delta technology, SpeedSync" along with innovative smart caching, sophisticated file compression, two-way acceleration and predictive read-ahead, to achieve the increased remote file access speed over network connections, such as VPN, RAS, WAN, and 802.11. LapLink RNA runs on Windows NT, 2000, or XP servers, accelerating file access for Microsoft and Novel IP-based networks, and it supports all Windows desktop operating systems.

"I was intrigued by the potential performance benefits that the Remote Network Accelerator would deliver, but now that we"ve had a chance to use it and implement it in the field, the full impact of its value hits home," said Andrew Hough, Director of Information Technology at Baugh Skanska. "It"s one thing to see the numbers and read the charts, but when you witness a remote file transfer of a 9.2MB file that used to take 3 minutes, 23 seconds via VPN before take only 21 seconds with RNA, the efficiency and versatility is evident."
