Laplink Controller, an award winning utility that allows PDA or Smartphone owners to control their devices directly from a PC desktop, is now available in a version compatible with Symbian-based Sony Ericsson and Nokia devices. With versions available for Pocket PC, Palm, and now Symbian PDAs and phones, Laplink Controller is now compatible with over 90% of the handheld devices currently on the market.

Symbian, with its powerful, flexible and memory-efficient characteristic, has continued to be the world?s most prevalent operating system for mobile devices shipped in 2005. Last year, more Symbian-based handheld devices were shipped than those running Windows Mobile, Palm, and RIM combined.

"Laplink Controller is definitely one of those utilities that PDA and Smartphone users can't seem to live without," said Emir Aboulhosn, VP Marketing Communications. "Consumers and businesses using Sony and Nokia devices have been asking for a compatible version of this software for some time, and we're happy to announce that it?s finally available to them."

Laplink Controller allows users to conveniently view and control Pocket PC, Palm, and Symbian based devices using a PC?s full-sized screen, keyboard and mouse. Device-to-PC connections can be made wirelessly via GPRS, 1XRTT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dial-up modem, and USB. Users can customize the look of the desktop image by choosing a skin that matches their device?s make and model. Ideal for power users, or for anyone who uses a PDA regularly for work or recreational purposes, Laplink Controller makes data viewing, entry and management speedy, easy, and accurate.

It also allows mobile device and software demonstrators to give clear, dynamic presentations to small or large groups. Carrie Kozlowski, a Product Specialist for medical PDA software company PatientKeeper, stated, ??Using Laplink Controller, we can present software solutions clearly and visibly? at meetings, trade shows, events, and training sessions. Our customers really appreciate being able to see the ?real deal?; exactly how the software operates on the actual device.?

The software also allows users to print PDA screens, and even create video recordings for demonstration or training training purposes. Laplink Controller is available for $39.95 from the Laplink web site at www.laplink.com.
